twice is nice but three times is just right

it's true!

we're playing another show on the 12th at the rock n roll house in logan square (dm us on instagram or email us for the address!) with trees will return, rural king and aaron thomas. 10 bucks suggested donation, all ages, house show, door at 8pm and we go on at 8:30, everybody wins. unfortunately our dear dylan can't make it so our buddy gabe from mail. is learning our set for the night like a champ. if you're looking for an event to witness before you retire to your lounge in a silken robe to listen to morrissey records, you couldn't find a better option.

out past the electric lines

our second ever, but first show in our own city will be at the color club on march 30th with slug rug and autofill! it'll be dylan's first show with us and we'll be playing some stuff heretofore unheard by the general public. 10 bucks, all ages, doors are at 7:30pm and we're on at 8, so don't be late! come see us and talk to us and feel the inexplicable breeze through your hair and wonder, "just where exactly is that breeze coming from? i'm indoors!" and we will stare back, unspeaking and unflinching, but answering nonetheless.

tornado country beat allen lumber into mud ponds

what's popping!

it's been a long time since i posted anything here, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy! two big ones: we got our own practice space at the start of this month. it's more than paid for itself already and it feels great to work in there. as a result, we also started recording the album for real for real this time! it's coming together pretty great despite a couple setbacks (the other night, i simultenously fried my recording interface and my favorite overdrive pedal. some really impressive production strategies happening), and i'm feeling excited about it. the drum tracks sound INCREDIBLE. here's a kind of crappy video showing the space off:

second, we now have the honorable dylan clancy playing bass! he's so great and the songs are sounding better than ever. i don't know if he knows this website exists yet, so i get to gush over it in secret. really really cool, funny dude and an insanely fast learning bass player. salutations to nathan mcmurray for playing with us in milwaukee and for writing a couple slick lines that are shaping up to be featured on the album.

the plan for the next couple months is to keep on recording the album, practice a ton, and get as many shows under our belt as we can. there's a few things relating to that last one in the works.... anyways.

end transmission
