lowering the standards in a process selective

it's been awhile, hasn't it?

i always seem to be writing these from libraries. at least this time, it's not my school's library, just the other one with the exact same name. i've been very very busy these past few months, but in a way with very little to show for it. so i thought i'd write a handy little list, for no one in particular.

1. i've played FIVE shows with lund surk. usually guitar and singing, but we got down to some mischief in detroit. playing with that band is seriously some of the most fun a person can have. i'm editing a fancy video of the july 26th one at the fallen log right now, it should be out as soon as i can stop fighting with google drive. the general public also almost had a run in with a real, in the flesh make like marigold set on the 17th, but the stars didn't quite align. consider yourself lucky that you didn't have to replace your roof, borelli's pizza.

2. we've been recording. last month before deerest friends toured, me and desi tracked 2 album songs on drums. the takes are incredible and the drum sound is even more so. after coming back from detroit, i recorded a song about it with teagan from hollow bastion called "loitering ain't even a crime". after biting her title i just had to get her on the song and she made it way better. we also recorded a song for consideration in the 13th emo diaries comp which is pretty killer. des learned and recorded the whole thing in ONE HOUR. i love my band.

3. there's something in the works that should serve as a supplimentary thing to the album. progress has been slower than i hoped so having something out there to stave off stagnation sounds pretty good. i've also been thinking about posting little things here and there on this page, like demos or maybe one off songs i record myself. in fact, here's one just for proof of concept.

that's all for now
